Poetry: Love’s Note

Love’s Note

Love’s Note was written,

After thoughts,

Between words,

Without obsession.

Love’s Note was played,

Between breaths,

Outside sounds,

Within embrace.

Love’s Note was sent,

With wind,

Around time,

In gardenias.

Love’s Note was not read,

Under sedation,

Through desire,

In enchantment.

Love’s Note was not heard,

Inside hypocrisy,

Around mediocrity,

Over indulgence.

Saturating with silent hypnotic bliss,
Love’s Note, always present.

Awaiting Awareness in obvious sight,
Love’s Note, yearns to be yours.

Beautiful. “Awaiting awareness” are my favourite two words in your poem. You have captured a call to mindfulness which when awoken reveals the love surrounding us.

    1. Thanks Linda,

I’m so glad you like the poem. And, I’m sure you are now relieved I am posting things you are comfortable reading-heehee. I know horror and dark humor are definitely now for everyone.

I will be doing more poems and slice of life through the next few months.

You are such a great friend!!

  2. Hi! Hope you see this. Wanted to let you know I’ve passed along an award to you. http://bit.ly/d5Kli7

  5. Love’s Notes was read,

    With anticipation,

    In admiration,

    Within enjoyment.

    1. Thanks Marisa – very clever, it would be fun to have a community poem to continue!!

      1. Love’s Note
        is filled with desire, yes,
        compassion, respect,
        and admiration.

        Love’s Note
must be whispered with the morning wind,
        spread like rumor,
sank as tears in my face.

        1. Mari,

That is so beautiful! What a lovely continuation of the poem, actually it stands on it’s own.

Thanks for coming by, I wish you a beautiful day in Italy!!

          1. Hi Anne! I’m very glad you liked it. 🙂

It’s not as if I’ve worked on it very hard, heh. It was meant to be a continuation to Marisa’s lovely poem, but it took control of the whole thing, as it happens so often. 😉

Ah, many congrats on your award! I can’t wait to see your ingenious truths. (aka bold lies, heh)

          2. Ah, yes, it seems your wishes of pretty days had a good effect, as the weather forecast says it’s going to snow tonight, yay! 😀

            Thanks for that! heh

  6. Thank you Deanna and Laurita for stopping by and reading my poem!

  8. Oh Anne, this has got to be one of the most beautiful love poems, if not The Most Beautiful, I’ve ever read. Just gorgeous! Thanks so much for sharing.
