Fun: You Are My Sunshine Award

[SunshineSupportiveCommenter_thumb1.jpg]

I was recently honored by Laura Eno with the You Are My Sunshine Supportive Comment Award. The purpose of it is to acknowledge those that have a blog and spend endless hours ensuring that other bloggers get feedback on their blogs by leaving comments, adding themselves as a follower or dropping by just to let you know there are people out there. Thank you, Laura!

Here is a few of my good friends that I would like to honor. I appreciate your friendship so much!

Laura Eno of A Shift in Dimensions (yeah, you get one back)
Marisa Birns of Out of Order Alice

  1. Congratulations on your award, Anne!

Thanks so much for the award you’ve given me, I appreciate it and your support and friendship more than I can say. 😀

    1. Hey Sam you sunshine boy! You spread sunshine all over the place! Glad to have you as a friend!!

  2. Congratulations Anne, this is such a fun award 🙂

  3. Many congrats Anne! This is most deserved, as we see your (successful) efforts in connecting and supporting people. Cheers! 🙂

    1. Thanks so much Mari,

I have missed you the past couple weeks. I keep missing LitChat, which is the ideal way to connect with you. I am determined to figure out what day it is now and make sure I get there tomorrow. You are such a good friend, thanks for your support.

  4. Anne –
The concept of a virtual friendship escapes many of my friends (and family) but in such a short time, we have all become such friends – it’s truly a blessing to me! We have so much in common and I so much enjoy our chats and I think it’s terrific that we are not only friends, but part of your inspirational #writerlbsoff community and that we are all pursuing our writing careers – whatever that may entail – together! Thanks so much for your friendship and for this special mention 🙂

    1. Thanks PJ, I feel the same way about our friendships here – I think it is so amazing to connect this way.

We really do have so much in common and Twitter never ceases to amaze me, check your email for the latest freaky coincidence.

  5. Lou Belcher

I’ve just recently started following your blog but can tell that you are deserving of this award. Congratulations. Keep writing. I do enjoy your posts.

    1. Lou,
Thank you so much! That means a lot to me. And, I am so glad to have you over for a visit and following my blog! I have been visiting you too and you really do a lot of great work down in Florida in the art and writing community!

  6. Gosh thanks Anne. Most unexpected.

    Thanks for thinking of me.

    Bests

    1. Sure Marc, so glad to surprise you with sunshine! You have been a great support of my silly stories and a fun Tweep! Your writing always inspires and improves my vocabulary.

  7. Anne, thank you so much!
I hope you know how much your own efforts are appreciated in the commenting and feeding back – not to mention #writerlbsOff!!

    1. Thanks Maria,

I love following your work and you have been a great friend!!

  8. Oh Anne, you are such a sweet gal. I so appreciate you.
Thanks for all of your support and I’m afraid I will have to give it right back to you. You definitely deserve the accolades. 🙂

    1. thanks Cynthia,

Your friendship has meant a lot to me! I’m so glad we have connected! You are actually someone who lives close enough that we might actually get to meet one of these days!

  9. Congratulations Anne! You certainly deserve this award, what with all you’ve done to pull us writers together to endeavor in improving our health, and our lives overall.
And thank you for extending the award to me! I’ll just steal Marisa’s acceptance speech. 😉 Truly, I appreciate that you thought of me very much. You’re a dear friend and I’m blessed to have found you.

    1. Deanna,

You are a dear friend too, of course. The #writerlbsOff is already much more than I expected. It started just because we were all whining on Twitter of needing to lose weight for New Year’s Resolutions. And, look what a great supportive community it has turned in to because of all you great Tweeps!

  10. Ahh…thanks Anne! You’re giving me the boomerang one. 🙂 I think you’ve done a wonderful job here with the #writerlbsoff in establishing a nurturing community.

    1. Oh course, I certainly had to send one to you! Thanks for such warm rays in my deep arctic chilly weather!

  11. **pshaawww** you’ve heard about Minnesota nice?? Just cuz I don’t live there anymore doesn’t mean I forgot my manners..backatcha..

    1. Ah yes, the Minnesota nice is beginning to grow on me. I’m originally from the Iowan…ah…nicer(?)side of the fence – hehe!

I am feeling your rays! Thanks.

  12. Why thank you so very much! You are so very kind. *looks in pocket* Well, I didn’t prepare a speech so I’ll have to wing it. But…

While reluctant to enter Twitterdom all those months ago, I find it to be one of the better things I have done last year. I started writing again, joined a wonderful flash community, and have enjoyed chatting and getting to know so many wonderful people (who are great and inspiring writers). Like you, Anne.

Now, I’ll have a celebratory cookie and then I will attend to my #writerlbsoff duties.

    1. Thanks, and yes, let’s pass some cookies around to celebrate our great connection with each other.

I also attribute Twitter with launching my next writing career, and especially the FridayFlashers. And, as I tell you all the time, you were the first to comment on my blog and give me inspiration to join in and continue.

      thanks sunshine!

  13. Awww, that makes me cry! Honestly! Who says writing is a solitary pursuit? Well, okay, it is, but being associated with an incredible group like the FridayFlashers makes the solitude more bearable. Thanks so much! ~ Olivia

    1. OH, I didn’t mean to make you cry, but go ahead since it is in a good way. I just think all the FridayFlashers are wonderful! It is great, and motivating to have such a supportive group!

You are a great ray of sun!
