About
It is an Exploration…
-into the lives of sensitive & intense children who are wired differently, who think in unique ways, who thrive on creativity and the pursuit of knowledge.
-into the lives of sensitive & intense parents who have experienced personal differences their entire lives, but were never quite sure why and still may be searching for understanding.
-into the stories we tell ourselves and our children about our differences. The stories that we tell that shape our life experiences and determine our success and happiness.
-into the actualization of life as a path of mastery, creativity and adventure, for our children, for ourselves, and for our families.
Together. . .
-We can explore our unique world from different angles and perspectives.
-We can create new meanings to the experience of being bright, creative adults, and living in a family with intense and sensitive members.
-We can find our place by creating the progressive family culture.

My own personal need to create, search and evolve has always been far greater than my need to conform and seek security. For over a decade, I have been researching ways to incorporate my training as a family therapist with my other interests as a writer, photographer and philosopher. Now, since we were so fortunate to have twins (boy and girl), I wanted a creative project that would provide us with the opportunity to change and grow as individuals and as a family. We hope our new venture will expand our horizons as to what is possible and provide us with a way to connect to others that are traveling on a similar path. We have come to this place with great joy and enthusiasm at the potentials.
With the advances in technology, it appears that now is the time for such a project. There is such a major explosion of online communities, podcasts and places for people to connect. It is now possible for anyone to have a global reach from the comfort of their home.
It is a shame to see so many families operating on auto-pilot. They are living stressed lives, running from one activity to the next without thought of what they truly want from life. They become more disconnected from each other and from their inner spirit with each passing day. They listen to the deafening voices of the media, society, friends and family who seem to know better as to what you should do and have in your life to create happiness and success. Only to find at the end of the day, they are building an ever deepening crevice of dissatisfaction, confusion, worry and fear.
We have all felt this pull, this pressure to measure up and conform. Some of us have succumbed, for a short time, or for a long time. Some of us have escaped, returned, and escaped again. These social pressures can be very powerful. But our inner spirit can be even more powerful if we listen carefully. We can become mindful of the influences that shape our behavior, and aware of the energy that is our true source of joy and success.
I passionately believe that we are part of a growing movement of emerging parents that are searching for new paths of personal development, innovative approaches to educatechildren, creative activities to do as a family, deeper and more meaningful ways to connect to each other, and the desire to change and shape the meaning of family life and family culture on this planet.
The strength of our community will evolve through the connections we make with each other. It will grow through our willingness to share our experiences, ask questions, provide feedback and become an active community of committed parents and professionals.
The journey of exploration starts now. . . but it does not have a set course nor does it have an end point.
